Atalnata has startded a new campaign called “Give change that Makes Sense” by placing marked yellow meters around downtown. While I believe the meters are an iffective way to deal with pan-handlers and focuses more on the related homeless issue, they are correct that giving to pan-handlers is not the solution to their problems. Look for some similiar rhetoric here in Austin soon.
