<description>Marshall-thank you very much for your efforts to inform everyone and address the crime issues in downtown Austin. I have recently moved to Austin and live on 5th Street near where the pictures shown above were taken. I see activity like this on 5th Street on a weekly basis. If I had known (should have done more research) that this type of activity took place in the area-(along with the rampant homelessness problem and drunken revelers-which I did know about, but not the extent)-I would not have chosen to live here-even temporarily. Wouldn&#039;t all those convention-goers and business people who visit this area and walk up and down 5th and 6th, on their way to the beautiful restaurants, be surprised to know what takes place here? I sure am. When you visit Austin as a business person you live in La-La Land. Well, that&#039;s over for me. I will do what I can to help and to get involved while I am living in the area. I will continue to try to help even after I move to another part of Austin-but I will not be staying on 5th much longer!
